A Square Of Squares by Graeme Oliver

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Prior to 1939, mathematicians believed that it was not possible to disect a square into a number of smaller squares, all of different sizes. This square is 110 units square, and the smaller squares (from left to right, top to bottom) are of size 41,31,38,10,14,7,5,12,28,2,3, 32,19,15,1,4,16,13,8,21,37,29 and 44 units respectively. With the advent of computers, many solutions have been found.
