Artist Profile KAREN WALSH
Canadian born artist Karen Walsh resides in country NSW. She is a professional artist and retired art tutor from TAFE NSW after 14 years. Karen continues to teach art groups within her community of Wagga Wagga and surrounding region. With a passion for drawing and painting, Karen also loves to experiment multiple mediums. Her focus now is to push the boundaries in these areas with mix media to give a more personal approach to the environment around her. She has an interest in all subject matter but is passionate about capturing the landscape/nature when travelling within Australia on holiday, overseas or in her own backyard. A sketchbook is always in hand to capture the essence of the surrounding environment. Karen has had solo and joint exhibitions within country NSW. She also participates in many local art exhibitions within the Riverina and has been award prizes in various categories.
