Mark Attard is a self taught artist. He started painting at an early age using watercolour and then started using oils at eleven years old. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nHe was inspired to start painting by his uncle Peter Attard who was a professional artist working in New York, painting covers for Mills and Boon romance novels. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nMark entered his first art exhibition at the age of fourteen and by fifteen he sold his first oil painting. For a while he also worked as a musician, playing at Melbourne Crown Casino and in Europe, making some extra money as a hired guitarist. He is a self taught guitarist and playing some piano. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nMark has sold a number of works through commissions, online and also sold at the Camberwell Rotary Art show in 2001. |
