My art adventure 

Inspired by my family to paint and encouraged by my art tutor Kristen Dyer to explore colour and technique has led me into a whole new world of fun and relaxation, which I am now very passionate about. Attending Kristen’s classes gave me the opportunity to explore my creative side and meet other very talented people who shared their talents and encouraged you to develop yourself even further and for that I thank them.

I enjoy painting large canvases in free flowing ‘contemporary abstract’ style, letting the piece develop as I go.  I take inspiration from images found in books on the universe and turn them into abstract artwork using layer upon layer of mixed media until I achieve the image I want.

Part of the experience for me has been the journey you go on as you watch the painting develop and hopefully as observers, you too will have the same experience and each day see something in the painting you didn’t see the day before.
