Artworks by local to melbourne artist Penny Strachan. \r\nPenny has been a keen artist for over 20 years. Mostly painting for her own house, family and friends, having only recently made the leap to entering art shows. With her very first art show being just recently at the Warranwood Art show. Which was a wonderful experience. \r\nThere is a binding theme of nature inspired topics among most of her work. However her style has been a constantly evolving process, through a lot of experimenting with different mediums. Her \"signature\" style of painting has become working with metallic paints such as copper, bronze, gold and rust. Combined with the use of leaves and other rustic materials. She loves working with patinas, as you never know how each one is quite going to turn out. |
