I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, fascinated by art from an early age. I drew pictures at every opportunity, whether it was sketching in the back of textbooks during class or working on illustrations for my art portfolio instead of studying for exams, its something that I've always loved.
After years of sketching and doodling on almost every notepad, textbook and paper surface that crossed my path, I enrolled in a Visual Arts diploma. This is where I got my first taste of painting and it wasn't 'love at first sight' by any means, I actually hated painting class, it wasn't until much later that we clicked.
I then decided that in order to get a 'real' job, I needed a degree, so I went to University (Warrnambool) where I completed an Arts degree majoring in Graphic Design and Marketing. After graduating I was determined to conquer the big city and moved to Melbourne, where I currently live.
My work focuses on the human condition and the vast range of emotions that we experience thoughout our journeys. I draw inspiration from various places, anywhere from everday life - the sights and sounds of Melbourne to lyrics in a song, street art, tattoo design, even architecture. I will follow this passion of creating art for the rest of my life.
